Climb the 70 degree slab on large flat hand and foot holds.  This problem is the left side of the easy backside of the Pyramid boulder.  A first time climber would have no problem on this climb and it would inspire confidence.

Climb the vertical face on nice jugs just right of the flake and arete.  This problem would be perfect for a rank beginner.

Start to the right of the Pyramid start and climb the tall expansive slab to the right of the Pyramid problem.  Avoid using any of the extruded knobs on that problem and dance up smears following the prominent left leaning veiny seam with your fingertips.  Make your way to a thin crack beneath the overlap, stand up tall and mantel over.  Secure stances but a bit airy.

Eggsocentric is a neat little problem.  Sit start on a flat sloping lip beneath a bit of a roof.  Pull out and over a blank bulge with a hand pawing for purchase above.  Toe/heel lock in the gap between the starting hold and the roof above it.  Figure out what to grab on the sloping lip on top of the bulge and then mantel it out.  Though it is short, the large bowling ball-esque slopers and challenging mantel make up for the length.

THE classic area highball.  Fortunately it gets easier as you get closer to the top.  Establish low on the slab and climb through edges and slopers then top 'er out.  Must do!

Good problem even though it's a bit contrived.  Start the same as Cassablanca, matched on the giant jug rail.  Make the same first move to the right handed jug, then instead of going straight up bust out left on bad slopers eventually aiming for a big jug on the arete.  The big juggy dish up and on your right as you move through the slopers is off.

Great route, the crux comes at the beginning but the end isnt too easy either.  Start on the obvious crimp rail and move up through slopers and crimps to finish on the spine of the boulder.  This was V5 in the old guide but downgraded in the new one.  Some grumbling has ensued...

Wanna get away from the crowds?  Check out this hidden gem in the top corner of the preserve, near The Dish.  Take a short walk through the woods on a not so obvious path until you round the boulder.   

  Sit start low using the slab for feet then fire out to a gaston jug and gain a positive rail.  The crux is down low but the problem's not over unitl you're stanind on top of it.  Awesome stuff

Start low on an incut jug and traverse left to top out same as Rick's Cafe

Climb the right arete and face of The Dish boulder.  Enjoyable movement and interesting iron rock like extrusions which gives the arete an interesting texture and are a dream to stand on with your toes on the steep slab.  The grade is perhaps 5.9 with an easy top out and is a great climb to put beginners on before you goad them into scaring themselves silly on The Dish problem and it's mantle which is to the left. 

  It is called Dish Tree if you climb the face near the arete but avoid the arete entirely and is V0 or so.

This problem climbs the left side of the Dish boulder starting with the left hand on a circular dish and the right on a slanting ramp.  Pull onto the wall and you can use an edge.  Stand up and reach to the horizontal seam and there is a tiny finger pocket that you can use to balance.  Then make a big committing move way up and left, the best place to aim for is a basketballish shaped area on the lip perhaps 3 feet right of the left arete and then mantel.  The left arete is off and should not come into play anyway.  The way I always did it was fun and dynamic.    

  A fun variation called Buck Dance Direct at V4+ is to head straight up the even blanker scoop just above the start holds to a even slopier top out that is directly above.  There are even fewer holds to aid in the stand up.  Top out maybe 4 feet right of the regular problem spot, about 6 feet right of the boulder's left arete.  Do not use any of the jugs on the lip like can be used for the Dish problems.  You will be groping and reaching way back from the lip onto the rounded top to mantel.   

  The left arete and face can be climbed as a layback at about V0.

It's a little messy back there, hence the name, but this is a great problem nonetheless.  Start low on decent edges and fire up through jugs to a strenuous top our on the right side of the boulder

Not many moves, but tons of fun.  Start sitting and matched on the giant jug rail.  Hook a heel and bust up through a couple small holds to an easy top out.  Dont miss this one if you're nearby

Stand Start and utilize opposing jugs on either side of the boulder to ascend.

King Tut is a king line.  The attractive overhanging arete and face makes a spectacular boulder problem.  Start sitting with your butt on the ground, not crouching, left land on the arete right on a undercling.  Just getting off of the ground those few inches is hard.  Fight the barndoor, lean right and start slapping.  There is a thin sidepull undercling for the right hand to aid your efforts.  Reach the left hand to a diagonal pinch on the arete around head height and sag into the small but incut crimp on the face.  Now you are in the stand up start which is called Tut and is a nice V3 on it's own.  Scum the left toe or heel and try not to abrade your calf and shin.  Reach way up to a ripple, work the arete to get established on lesser angled ground.  From here follow the tall arete which in itself is a good V0 named Mummy March.  On a busy day you can sit on the rock nearby and almost hear a rusty door creak as people line up and barn door off the first few difficult move.  This problem is long (by diabase standards) and produces a pump.  There is a lot of compression involved in climbing King Tut.  I think it is one of the best problems of all grades at the Stable.

Awesome V1, the top-out is fantastic.  Lunge for the lip and throw a heel.  Exciting stuff

Dish Right is an independent slab problem that is between the standard Dish climb and the Dish Arete on the right hand side of the boulder.  IT starts on the same hold as The Dish.  Climb up the slab on decent holds, worse than those on The Dish, to a juggy lip.  This problem uses holds that are not on the standard Dish problem.  It is a tad more difficult than The Dish, but it is still a steepish slab.  I think this way is on par, as far as quality is concerned, with the more popular Dish.  It is more thought provoking but similar.

Cool line but sits in the middle of a swamp.  Start low on the obvious jug rail and fire for the slopey lip, then top it out.

Mummy March starts standing on the face right of the King Tut arete.  Begin on a left juggy flake that leads to the arete of were the face and slab meet.  Make your way up to a high top out on a protruding, left facing large flake.  This part is the mental crux.  Delicately balance and layback a move or two to the lip and mantel to safety.  This problem is a bit heady for a beginner, but is perfect for someone who wishes to test his mettle.

A small area jam packed with quality problems.  Any visitor to GS should send The Pyramid at least once!
